Heads up: Reinvested dividends (REINVDIV / Reinvest Shares) are recorded as a DIV plus a BUY at the reinvestment price. That matches your brokerage's tax cost basis but inflates "money in" — your cost basis grows even though no new cash was added. Use realized gains, not cost basis, as the true return measure.

Anything publicly traded works — equities, ETFs, mutual funds, indexes (e.g. ^GSPC), forex (e.g. EURUSD=X), or crypto pairs (e.g. BTC-USD, ETH-USD).

Applies to every account holding the ticker on the effective date. Re-running the same ticker+date overwrites prior SPLIT rows (including bad ones from CSV imports). See SPLITS.md.

Sync from trades: when on, the account's balance becomes live positions + cash sleeve, written to today's snapshot, and surfaced on the Overview. Leave off for accounts where your imported trades don't fully cover the position (e.g. crypto with partial trade history) — the snapshot stays the source of truth.

    Balance history ·
Add or correct historical balances. The dashboard's net-worth chart and total-asset history pull straight from these snapshots, so backfilling here fills in the chart.
Saving the same date twice overwrites the prior value. Use this for backfills, corrections, or to fix Plaid hiccups.
